Service continued their winning ways with a deserved but hard fought win over Shobdon. The Servicemen started brightly and were causing Shobdon endless problems from corners and Judd eventually managed to bundle the ball over the line at the back post from a Mark Nottingham corner. Unfortunately Service once again missed several chances to extend the lead and Shobdon managed to score a fortuitous equaliser just before the break after a sliced strike fell kindly to one of their forwards. Service started strongly and were rewarded with Adam Atkin’s first goal for the club. Civil Service took control but were unable to extend their lead and Shobdon scored an excellent second against the run of play. The Servicemen put the disappointment behind them and Jones scored from another corner with an excellent header to restore the lead.  Service continued to look the more likely to score but Shobdon showed their own spirit to hit back once again after Johnson handled in the box and they converted the penalty. With time ebbing away Service forced a corner and Chapman managed to force it over the line for a valuable goal that proved to be the winner.
